How two crate diggers turned a shared obsession into Groove Vault.
Groove Vault was born in a cramped basement in Brooklyn, 2019. Two friends — a record store clerk and a sound engineer — decided there had to be a better way to find great vinyl. No inflated Discogs prices. No mystery grading. Just honest, lovingly-curated records from people who actually listen to them.
We started with 200 records from our personal collections. Today, we house over 5,000 titles spanning jazz, soul, rock, electronic, folk, and blues — each one hand-graded, play-tested, and shipped with the care it deserves.
We believe vinyl isn't a retro fad. It's a medium that demands attention. The warmth of analog. The ritual of flipping sides. The crackle before the first note. That's what we preserve.
Every record passes through our hands. We listen, inspect, and grade honestly — no automated listings, no blind inventory.
Reinforced mailers, corner protectors, archival inner sleeves. Your vinyl arrives exactly as we packed it — pristine.
We buy collections, host listening events, and support local record stores. Vinyl culture is about sharing, not hoarding.
